West Bend, IA (June 29, 2023) – For over three decades, Country Maid, Inc., along with its network of dealerships and their families, has been committed to supporting non-profit organizations through humanitarian events held during its annual dealer conference. Each year, Country Maid selects a different organization to support in order to “Share the Good” and spread kindness across the United States.
This year, at the conference in Sioux Falls, SD, Country Maid advanced its mission of “Helping Others Help Each Other” by partnering with two outstanding organizations: Isaiah 117 House and LifeScape. Country Maid donated $2,000 to Isaiah 117 House along with toys, blankets, and duffle bags that will aid children entering into the foster care system. LifeScape received a $2,000 donation and 210 monster kits. Monster kits are individualized imagination play kits containing items such as Play-Doh, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, beads, and more. These kts allow kids to make their own monsters while also working on hand strength, creativity, and overall learning.
These contributions reflect the combined effort and compassion of Country Maid and its Dealer Network. By combining their resources and time, they aim to bring comfort and care to those in the greatest need.
“What an incredible event! Ronda from Isaiah 117 House delivered an impactful and insightful presentation as she shared with us the needs of children entering the foster care system. Her passion left everyone inspired to do more, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room,” said Lynn Bouska, Vice President of Fundraising at Country Maid. “Our Dealer Network once again demonstrated a commitment beyond profit margins by focusing their attention, love, and dedication on the well-being of our community. I am beyond grateful for their giving hearts.”
All donations will support Isaiah 117 House and LifeScape in their missions to provide physical and emotional support, compassionate care, and safe and loving environments to children in need.
About Isaiah 117 House
When children are removed from their homes out of concern for their safety, they are usually brought to a child welfare services office to await placement. This wait can be anywhere from a few hours to several days. These children have nothing with them and are scared, lonely, and hungry. Isaiah 117 House provides a comforting home where these children can be brought to wait instead. It’s a place that is safe with friendly and loving volunteers who provide clean clothes, smiles, toys, and snuggly blankets. This space allows children to receive the comfort and care they need while child welfare staff do the necessary paperwork and identify a good placement.
